The last time I bought a washer/dryer set was 22 1/2 years ago. We bought the Electrolux set because it was the highest rated on Consumer Reports that we could choose which side the door hinged on. The LG sets all only hinged one way and didn't work for our laundry room setup. _x000D_ _x000D_ Have had the set plus the pedestals for about a month now and am pleased with the performance thus far. There are features for everything I could possibly need and then some, and lots of drying space inside. It's easy to choose which options I want to use for a load. I would definitely recommend reading the instructions to make sure you understand exactly what each setting does for best results. The lint basket is easy to access and clean. I hope this dryer lasts for a good long time.

Loving my new dryer so far! I love that it has steam/wrinkle release settings for when I'm too lazy to iron. I can adjust the dryer settings to get dry in one round which is awesome - my last dryer took several rounds to get dry. Would recommend!

Purchased Electrolux 700 series W & D to replace an LG pair that were 8.5 years old, after washer repeatedly broke down – similar to other LG appliances we bought at the same time -- over the past couple years. Chose the ELFG7738AW to pair with the ELFW7738AW, as the washer offered the most advanced technology (e.g. optimized to perform in cold water) and both units were nearly the same price as their 600 series predecessors. Additionally, Electrolux appears to be one of very few brands that allow for reversal of doors as well as larger capacity without an excessively wide footprint, which were critical for our installation. Through a couple weeks of use, our sense is that clothes smell– likely due to SmartBoost Premix and Pure Rinse features – cleaner and feel – likely due to LuxCare Dry system -- softer, using the same detergents and equivalent settings as the previous units.
