FFTR2045VW I purchased this refrigerator a month ago._x000D_ I noticed a large (9cm x 5cm) hole in the rear access panel...didn't seem right, but obviously not caused by damage. _x000D_ Performed an online search for rear panel images of the same model. _x000D_ The image showed the panel does not have a large hole. _x000D_ Contacted customer service. The representative didn't seem interested in supporting the manufacturer or the customer._x000D_ He requested that i send a photo (see attached). He then responded with an abrupt email that the large hole is cosmetic, and not covered beyond 7 days after delivery._x000D_ Usually, customer service representatives are attentive and focused on_x000D_ preserving a manufacturers positive image._x000D_ This particular individual was the polar opposite. _x000D_ My take is that this is a rear access panel to the appliance compressor/electrical and heat exchanger. It is safety related, not cosmetic._x000D_ This hole provides easy access to the appliances functional components and is_x000D_ a hazard to small, curious children and or pets._x000D_ It is also an embarrassment to the manufacturer.. even the dollar store does not sell products with defective safety panels._x000D_ Cosmetically, the appliance has a 15cm hard dinge in the lower left side wall._x000D_ Cosmetically, there was a 4cm area around each of the door hinges that was covered in a thick layer of grease._x000D_ Safety: while checking the rear panel to get the serial#, I noticed an area that had a layer of burned, soot-like material on it._x000D_ I removed the access panel and found burned plastic molding where a copper tube from the compressor enters the molding._x000D_ Both the molding, and a foam seal inside the molding are burned...which caused the vapor to be deposited onto the exterior rear panel._x000D_ I would contact customer service, but it's pretty obvious how that will end :)_x000D_ Don't see me purchasing another Frigidaire appliance, which is unfortunate_x000D_ because the model does have some nice design features.

Love our new fridge! Lots of room in the door so it's a space saver! And the deli drawer is awesome!
