I purchased this freezer to replace a 35 year old 14 cu ft chest freezer. One of my biggest concerns with the freezer replacement was energy consumption due to the larger capacity (20 cu. ft) and the vertical orientation, both of which I expected to increase the energy consumption. I used an energy meter to monitor and record the energy consumption for a couple of weeks and I'm super impressed to report that it's even more efficient than the old chest freezer. I recorded an expected annual consumption of approx. 270 kWh when the temperature control is set to "Cold", which using a WiFi thermometer, I found to keep the freezer at approx -15 degrees Celsius within an range of 1.5 degrees C. Needless to say this performance is much better than the EnergyGuide estimated annual use so I'm quite impressed._x000D_ _x000D_ I'm also very pleased with the convenience of a vertical freezer vs. a chest freezer. There's a reasonable amount of height adjustment for the shelves so the available space can be optimized to use plastic containers for holding several smaller items (portioned food) or boxes of pre-frozen product. Initially I thought the door storage would be a waste of space but I found that it's a convenient way to store smaller, frequently accessed items (like portioned food) and allows you to quickly grab the food you need without having the freezer open while you rummage through the shelves._x000D_ _x000D_ I found that the motor (fan) noise is louder than expected (more than any fridge I've owned), although it's not unreasonable. As a result I would not want the freezer near a living area where that noise could be a nuisance._x000D_ _x000D_ Overall I'm very pleased with the freezer and would recommend it.

We purchased this stand up freezer and are very happy with it. It replaced two older freezers. We have the convenience of a stand up with so much more room. Excellent choice

Very clean lines, and pretty good use of space. It replaces a 2019 model, which had a coolant leak the could not be fixed and I was told was likely a manufacturing defect, so I am hoping for a much longer lifespan this time around. I was also told the new coolant system in this freezer is more reliable than the coolant system previously used. It would nice if the shelves in the door were adjustable. I wish I could have selected a maybe recommendation, because only time will tell if this replacement freezer lasts.
