Had the glass canopy installed by a carpenter doing my kitchen remodel. Can't find a trim for the ceiling opening. Looks very poor. Had the installation verified by a Frigidaire service center. When the fan is turned on in any setting, fan vibrates and rattles. In any fan setting it is so loud can't hear anything while cooking. Oh it looks nice but I would not recommend it.

Installed in new construction. First wanted downdraft but that didn’t out. Was a little concerned about overall appearance but as it turns out it adds interest and some visual definition to the otherwise completely open kitchen, dining, living area.

Was an easy DIY install but it needs two people, for sure. Just be careful that the stickers that are place on the upper and lower bracket are correct for "front." Mine were backward. The unit works well and it looks really good. When the unit is on high the noise is not too bad. We have an open floor design and we can still talk or watch TV compared to other units I've had in the past.
