I made the mistake of buying a regular smooth top electric range. Keeping the stovetop clean was awful. The electric top stays hot and cooks on any food spills unlike my previous induction range. I arranged to return it and purchase an induction range. With an induction the element area is only hot when there is a pot on it. 1000% easier to wipe up. The regular electric smooth top looked like it was 5 years old after only 5 days of use and I could not keep it. Maybe this works. My new Frigidaire induction arrives today.

I received this range 3 weeks ago and I am very happy with it. The stove top elements heat quickly, has a good variety of element sizes and wattage, and is easy to clean. I have used the oven to bake pita bread. It puffed nicely and baked evenly. I noticed that the oven used considerably less power than my previous oven for the same baking type and amount. I wish I bought this oven a long time ago.
