I had a manual defrost from Sears for more than 25 years and loved how it kept foods fresh for long times . When it stopped working I realized I needed to buy a frost free bc it has become difficult to manually defrost. The new Frigidaire freezes quickly and keeps the ice cream well . I like to double what I make like soups and casseroles so there is plenty of room. I’ve yet to freeze baked goods or defrost a casserole which is the big test .

I absolutely love this freezer!! It is so easy to see what is in it compared to the chest freezer. I love the side shelves and how it can store many things. Best purchase ever!!!

Old freezer crapped out _x000D_ This exceeds our need _x000D_ And has safety features that help us feel confident that it is working correctly (green indicator light and door alarm).

Time will tell if this unit last, My 1992 model that this replaced weighed double. I hope this is not a cheaply made unit. Frigidaire has a good reputation, I was hoping this unit would support American manufacturing jobs rather than communist China.
