1 Builder's Grade Dishwasher

The Frigidaire FFCD2413US3A Dishwasher is a BUILDER’S GRADE Dishwasher. We purchased this appliance January 15, 2021 at one of the two home improvement centers in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It was delivered January 21. Immediately, condensation issues became apparent. Setting the dishwasher to “Normal Wash”, “High Temp”, “Heat Dry”, there remained excessive condensation after running a cycle._x000D_ _x000D_ Speaking to the home improvement center rep was a waste of time. Their sales person asked if we had returned the item. Right, how does the average consumer uninstall a dishwasher and bring it back for an exchange? From there, the conversation went downhill. Bottom line: We were on our own and were told to contact Frigidaire. _x000D_ After a very long wait, and after jumping through numerous hoops to speak to a live person, the customer service person with whom I spoke was helpful, even sympathetic. They placed an order for a service technician to come to the house. _x000D_ _x000D_ Today, that Electrolux/Frigidaire service rep was here, and he too was very helpful and forthright. I learned that the reasons for the condensation are: 1) there us no external vent 2) there is no fan, and 3) Because the interior walls are made of a “plastic” it cannot absorb moisture. Also, that this dishwasher model is considered by service technicians a builder’s grade appliance, and my issues with this model are very common. _x000D_ _x000D_ The suggested workaround/remedy is to open the dishwasher door about 15 minutes after the cycle is finished, which should allow the condensation/steam to escape, while still drying the contents of the dishwasher. Would I have purchased this bottom of the line dishwasher had I done sufficient homework? Absolutely not. It would not be in my kitchen.
