5 Sleek

Had to replace and older model Frigidaire wall oven so we went with Frigidaire again and are not disappointed. It is sleek and stylish and has all the features of our old oven and then some. Fits in well with our older model microwave which sits right above it.

3 Good so far except for the light gets extremely hot

So far the oven is working well. The biggest issue I have is that the light in the fridge get extremely hot when turned on. I put my dough in the oven with the light on to rise and it got so hot it had actually started cooking and drying it out. Very disappointed about that.

1 Bottom of the barrel customer service.

I bought this oven as a replacement for an existing oven. it comes with a very short power cord, about 3 feet long, only suitable to connect to an electical box on the same side, or at the same height, as the outlet on the rear of the oven (top right as you look from the rear. My existing box is diagonally opposite this, and I need a longer power cable to go across the back of the oven and down the opposite side, approximately 6 feet. I don't want to have to pull a new, longer, cable all the way from my panel to locate a new wall box, nor to I want to install an additional connection between the existing box and a new box in a better location. So, I looked all over the Frigidaire site to find a solution. Nothing there. I called "support". More than a bit of a joke. After 15 minutes, and explaining the issue twice, the agent told me, and I quote, "use an extension cord". I asked to speak to someone in the technical department. I was told there was no way to transfer me. I asked for another number to call to access actual technical support, and the response was, "call this number again and maybe the next person can help you". This level of support on a product purchase is absolutely unacceptable. A replacement part (longer cable) or specs for precisely the type of cable to purchase and how to install it should be readily available. I cannot be the first person, or even in the first 100, to need a longer power cable. It should be illegal.

5 As Advertised with a few minor glitches.

We bought the Oven in April. Our previous oven was also a Frigidaire Galaxy Oven . It was 24 years old and still worked fine but we couldn't read the display we had to replace it.. 24 years is well over the expected lifetime so we expect the new oven to last reliably a long time._x000D_ _x000D_ As an oven it is so much better that the original. The fast start heating and the almost instant on broiler make many tasks easier, quicker and take much less power. The original oven required a double 40A breaker while the new oven only requires double 20A which certainly indicates potential power savings. We have not used all the new features yet but they are extensive and quite appealing._x000D_ The air fryer option saves us having to buy one._x000D_ _x000D_ There have been only a couple of issues. A small 4"X30" strip of insulation to shield parts in the oven door has fallen down into the door window and is in view. Warranty service has been scheduled for later this week. Installation was a tiny problem because the power connection was moved from bottom right to top left which meant the cable would not reach the existing junction box so a longer cable was required.
