Although it was still working, we recently replaced the freezer we purchased 48 years ago with a Frigidare 16CU.Ft Upright. We took a chance and ordered on-line , sight unseen, and expecting to be disappointed in the quality of a "today's" appliance. Instead, we are beyond pleased with the appearance, space, and economy of our new purchase. It is quieter, has more usable space, and is more efficient to run than our old friend. Now, if it has the durablility of our old friend as well, we will be dead before it is!

We finally received our freezer. And I love it. The 16 was a great size for the 2 of us. The upright is so much better for me to get at our food. I love the features of the freezer. The shelves are perfect size and I love the light. Would recommend to everyone.

Purchased less than a month ago so I can't speak to longevity but the space...I love the extra sq ft I gained when I replaced my old freezer! I'm now able to sort and separate the foods. This upright is tall but doesn't take up a lot of garage real estate, which my husband loves. The green light on the front is a nice bonus, we're always aware when it's working properly.

I’ve had this freezer for about a month now and it’s great. Just plug it in. The factory set temperature was fine, but should you need to change it, just turn a dial. I’ve had a freezer fail before, not fun. So, I always opened my old unit to check. I don’t need to with this one. It has an exterior light that lets me know it’s running. There’s nothing fancy about this freezer, and that’s the way I like it.
