My freezer is in a frost madness cycle. I recieved my Freezer on december 31st 2020 and after waiting 2 hours before plugin it in, I waited another 4 hours before loading it up with frozen items that were left outdoors in -5c temp. in my 2 portable camping coolers. When I looked inside before going to bed, it was full of frost. My wife emptied the freezer, removed all the frost then shut the door after the open door alarm started to beep at her, then finished cleaning up the frost. The next morning, it was full of frost / snow yet again! We cleaned it again (thinking the items that had been left outside has accumulated excess humidity in the coolers in -5c temp. ) then noticed before going to bed it was yet again full of frost._x000D_ _x000D_ The freezer is in my heated garage (10 to 15c)._x000D_ _x000D_ I am writing here since my product registration attemps failled many time on my Android / Chrome broser AND on my computer. I was able to register using Microsoft Edge and when I tried contacting Frigidaire for help (using the Edge web browser), I never received a "thank you for contacting us" message or an email confirmation message (I waiting a few minutes before checking)._x000D_ _x000D_ I hope I'll be able to correct this bad review.... else I'll try to return this unit.

so excited about this upright freezer! work great and it give me lot of extra space which my fridge couldnt give me! Fit great in my basement

We bought a similar 16 cf Frigidaire upright freezer from Leon's in 2012. Unfortunately, the copper pipe started leaking early January. We were surprised that the freezer only lasted about 8 years. We understood that appliances these days only last 10-15 years so did not expect this one to break down in just 8 years. We bought a new one from Costco. It was deliver on Feb 11, 2021. This is a basic upright freezer. Working well so far. Let us see how long this one last!

I find that the food gets ice crystals on it. sure not my favorite freezer . but is easy to get things out of. just dont keep things in it to long

You can tell from the picture bellow that the freezer is pack with food and that one item in particular is not letting the door close all the way, a gap on the door seal will allow moisture to come in and produce the frost on the items you see in the picture, so to prevent this arrage item properly and make sure door closes properly, all seals must make full contact. My did the same until I noticed that. Has been working good since, Regards.

I bought this freezer from Costco and within 6 months it was freezing up. There is a known issue with the circulation fan freezing up (look it up online). I have video and pictures to prove it. Frigidaire (Maytag) is no help and neither is Costco. Warranty is useless and so is this freezer.

Beautiful unit but within one year of purchase, the seal has stopped working so there is an ice buildup on the inside of the door and the ceiling of the freezer. Not acceptable for a frost-free freezer within such a short time.

Too early to compliment the product other then that no complaints in 2 mths after owning product
