3 Great Features But Could Use Improvements in the Following Areas

Upon installation of the Frigidaire Professional 27.8 CU. FT, we noticed a couple of areas that could be improved. The first area is the lack of ability to level the fridge completely. Floors in any home are seldom completely level. We were not able to level the fridge so that it stood square to the fridge floor and cavity walls. The un-level fridge is noticeable and looks awkward. There needs to be a way to level all four wheels prior to installation. In addition to the lack of ability to level the fridge on all four corners to the floor, the ability to level the fridge doors is also impacted by this. While we were able to adjust the doors to some degree, we were not able to ensure that the doors lined up perfectly (out by 1/8th of and inch). The final area we think should be addressed would be the type of wheels used on the fridge are hard plastic. With more and more homes using hardwood flooring in kitchens, the hard plastic wheels easily damage wood flooring. The ability to move a fridge in and out of its cavity, is very important to homeowners as it allows us to properly service, clean and maintain the the area around the fridge including servicing water lines and electrical connections. We hope this feedback helps future designs of the Frigidaire products.

1 Defective Fridge from day one: Poor Quality Control

Fridge delivered and we loaded it with our groceries. Next day everything was frozen. Crisper drawers, deli tray, other shelves all product froze. Had to throw out a lot of food._x000D_ Repair person came over and said they need to order a new board, and sensor. Waterlines are also froze solid too. If they are damaged, this could potentially damage our home. Water damage. Only way to tell is to unplug fridge and wait until they thaw out. No ETA on parts. There should be some customer recourse where if a fridge is defective from day one it should be returnable. Now we sit here and wait for parts with no fridge. Also, the left door seal was damaged from the factory and shipped this way which we noted on the delivery receipt. This is evidence that Frigidaire quality control is lacking. Very bad experience. Buyer beware.

5 Awesome Fridge!

First fridge with water and ice, LOVE the extra ice in the freezer, great for water bottles! Freezer is much bigger than expected, fridge is spacious but you do lose some room because of the freezer for taller items, it’ll take adjusting the shelves until you figure out what’s best.

2 Noisy

Bought about 3 weeks ago. It’s noisy. The compressor whine is constant. And there’s no “eco” mode to turn off the water dispenser light when not in use so it’s constantly on and wasting energy. The freezer section door is quite noisy as well when opened. For a “professional” series fridge this is disappointing. Had I known about the compressor noise I wouldn’t’ve bought this fridge.

5 Huge

We had it delivered Dec 22/22 and very happy with it so far. The hardest part is getting the plastic film off it, they shouldn't put it under the trim or the seal around the door.

5 Very satisfied

We have had this fridge for just over two months now and are very satisfied with this refrigeraor. The interior is HUGE with terrific organization in the doors. The large wide drawer is great for fruit trays, pizza boxes, etc. And ice.....so much ice between the through-the-door ice machine and the ice maker in the freezer.

4 Problem with water dispenser

We bought the fridge just after Christmas, everything was working great then after about a week the water dispenser started dripping after each time we filled a glass. Called for service and explained exactly what the problem was with the dispenser. It took almost 2 weeks for a service person to come to the house.. Was in the house for 5 minutes said it’s probably the valve and ordered a new one. (Why the repair person didn’t have a valve with him is beyond me.) Especially when I explained everything to the dispatcher during my call. Now I will need to be available another day just waiting around for someone to come and see if that’s even the problem. Keeping our fingers crossed it is the right part. On a positive note the fridge is very bright and has lots of room with tons of ice!

5 Love it

Love the look of it, the stainless steel doesn't get smudged. Inside is spacious. Love the water dispenser, super easy to keep clean. LEDS lights inside are really nice too.

1 Brand new refrigerator freezes everything

My wife and I were planning kitchen renovations and were in the market recently for a full-size refrigerator with water and ice dispensers along with other appliances. I spent many hours researching the various models and after much deliberation and speaking with several sales reps decided on this Frigidaire Professional model. We owned a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator along with a Frigidaire upright freezer for over 20 years and never had any issues so were looking forward to the same quality and longevity. _x000D_ Huge disappointment!_x000D_ _x000D_ Starting off, the ice maker didn’t start properly producing until around 45 hours later as opposed to the claimed 24 hours. In the meantime, everything in the refrigerator section started to freeze. Changing the temperature up and down did nothing. I went out to purchase a refrigerator/freezer thermometer and found that the temperatures ranged from 20°F – 24°F, well below the recommended 37°F. The freezer section was fine at -2°F. Furthermore, the water dispenser stopped working, probably due to the line being frozen._x000D_ _x000D_ Emailing my Coast Appliances sales rep resulted in him just forwarding my explanation of the issues along with photos to his customer service department. There was no reply until the sixth day when customer service said they’d dispatch a repair company to diagnose._x000D_ _x000D_ The repair company came quickly the next day and discovered that the damper wasn’t sealing or closing properly, resulting in an air leak. The repair parts were ordered but was told they were on backorder from the supplier but no ETA could be given._x000D_ _x000D_ So, my brand new $3,300+ (after taxes and extended warranty) refrigerator/freezer is just one big freezer with no timeframe as to when it will be functioning as intended. What are we supposed to do now? What household can go without a refrigerator? We had to throw out spoiled fresh food as a result of the freezing. We weren’t offered any further assistance, no replacement or loaner; told it had to go through the warranty process. It’s brand new! Speaking with the repair technician, he claimed 15 – 20% of his calls are for brand new appliances which further solidifies the claim ‘they don’t make them like they used to’. This is not a cheap appliance and not a one-of problem, looking at some of the reviews. Quality control should be much higher. Now we have second thoughts about equipping the rest of the kitchen with matching Frigidaire appliances.
