I'm not a fan of this stovetop at all. I cooked a pot of greens in a Dutch oven right before Thanksgiving. Once it was half way done, I put it on a very low heat for less than an hour. The pot became so hot that it cracked my stovetop in 3 places and left an indentation of the pot in the middle of the eye in which it was on. My home is brand new. Therefore, the appliances are brand new. Needless to say, we had to purchase another and I'm fearful of doing any major cooking on it.

I bought this to replace a twenty year old previous Frigidaire model. Easy to install, if you can do very simply electrical wiring and caulking, you are go to go! Quality build, looks great and easy to operate. Love the quick boil option.

We purchased our brand new home October 22, 2019 with Frigidaire appliance too include the glass stovetop and less than 30 days later it was cracked in 3 places. I used a Dutch oven to cook a pot of greens. After completion, I placed the pot on a low heat with the top on the pot. The pot became too hot and when I went back to it my stovetop was cracked there was an indentation on the stove from the bottom of the pot. Needless to say, my stove was out of commission for Thanksgiving because we had to wait for our new one to be repaired. My suggestion is that these stovetop be made with thicker glass and if you're a consumer pay very close attention when using this appliance.

We just replaced our 14 year old Frigidaire cooktop with this one. We loved our old one and love this one even more. Definite improvements with the new one: Fast boil, knobs still on the right out of the way. Each know has an orange marker which clearly indicates the setting. We like the look of the stainless steel edge which matches the other stainless steel appliances really well. Clean looking surface. Easy to keep clean. Burners come up to temperature very quickly. All around great appliance that goes well with our other Frigidaire appliances throughout our kitchen: dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and microwave.

I am unhappy with the knob that controls the upper left element. When the knob is rotated to the "medium" position it lifts up. It appears that the knob stem is bent.

The builder had it installed with home purchase. Difficult to keep clean, but like the quick boil burner.
