from the one 11 years old that this has replaced. Good thing is the venting was in the same location, and the 3 speed fan is better. Nice unit.

Surprising that my 25 year old GE Spacemaker 1400 this replaced was so much better. It had sensor cook for popcorn. This doesn't. It gave more warning cooking veggies in case you wanted to stop sooner to avoid overcooking. It had a time cook button so that the instant on (1, 2, 3... minute) were truly instant. With this, if you want 1:30 you need to push 1, wait 3 seconds, and then +30. It was about an inch less deep and a sloped bottom so I could see the controls on the back of the stove without stooping. Not that this is a bad machine. It's very serviceable. The above is meant as suggestions to the engineers to learn from their forefathers who had a great design.

BRAND NEW MICROWAVE STOPPED WORKING A MONTH AFTER INSTALLED DEC 26. HAD TO WAIT A MONTH FOR REPAIRMAN WHO SAID IT NEEDED 2 PARTS. SAID THERMOSTAT GONE. NOW TOLD PARTS BACK ORDERED TILL END OF MARCH. FRIGIDAIRE SUPERVISOR SAID HE WONT REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE.

We bought our new OTR microwave on Boxing Day 2023, it was to be delivered to the store by the last weekend of January, but it was delayed a few weeks which is fine because we still had a working old Frigidaire model. We were told the installation was easy and it was. The installation instructions could use a few updates. A major issue with installing these is that the fan is on the top of the unit that we bought which is correct because the chute for our fan also comes down from the ceiling. The issue is how does one put the vent that comes with this unit on the unit? It can not be done because when it is attached, the vent added height to the until and the vent does not have space to fit into the space needed to fit the until without a gap to the cupboard above that houses the chute. As for the working condition of the microwave, it’s great. We love it. We keep finding new features that please us such as the beeping after the initial end of the session to remind you that something is in there. Also, if you put something in and hit a number and wait to long to complete the number, it guesses that you want that many minutes and it starts. The digital display is large and actually can help light the kitchen at night, so we don’t need to turn a light on just to see the buttons. Lots of room in it, and it looks fantastic.
