1 Terrible units.. freezer replaced, now fridge replaced, now broken again

We have had this style of fridge/freezer for 15 years. We are currently and not happily shopping for our third, and it will NOT be Frigidaire. Our custom kitchen is built around this so our hands are tied unless we have the cabinets redon..... Not getting into the entire nightmare we have went through but we have been without a fridge in our kitchen since November. This was repaired at 18months young, (full sealed system) but within 12 months it happened again, needs a full sealed system. We were advised from a 3rd party repair company that "there is no fixing a sealed system, it will continue to happen."..Great! Frigidaire at first offered nothing because we were out of warranty. But why sell junk? It was bound to happen and continue to happen?? Anyway, just thought I would write a review (which I never do) to inform you.... oh and also, they change their style every 2-3 years so you have to buy both again! Our new freezer is still working so far but now that the design and size has changed on the new ones we HAVE to buy both....

2 Disappointing

We have had this fridge for 2.5 years now, everything was running well until recently. We have a leak in the coils and the fridge is a brick now. It is next to impossible to get customer support on the phone. I would not recommend

1 Refrigerator Stopped Cooling in Two Years

Terrible experience with the Frigidaire Professional line. We have six appliances (stand alone refrigerator/freezer, double wall oven, stove top, dishwasher, microwave) and all but the freezer have defects in barely two years of use. The refrigerator has suddenly stopped cooling and Frigidaire support is useless as it's no longer their "responsibility" to support._x000D_ _x000D_ It's terrible to think that I might need to replace this many appliances in such a short period of time, but I might have no choice given they do not stand behind their products.

1 Horrible. Do not buy

DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!!! We have had nothing but trouble. We are on the second one in 3 years. We’ve had our replacement for about a month and already have needed two service calls. It has forced us to buy a smaller fridge to keep food in so we don’t get food poisoning from improper cooling. The newest problem we have is a massive amount of ice and frost build up at the back of the fridge. Avoid buying this fridge at all costs.

2 Poor design

FPRU19F8WFH ad to purchase this model of the Frigidaire freezerless fridge to replace the older model (2019) that broke down. The extended warranty tried to repair 4 times, parts delays, half hearted repairs, etc., meaning my fridge was unusable for over 10 months. Finally the warranty wrote off my fridge, paid me my purchase price; I discover the new model is TWICE the price. And then to make it even worse I discover Frigidaire, in its wisdom, makes the new model and the old models just different enough that the new fridge is completely incompatible with the older matching stand up freezer--meaning the two units cannot even be placed side by side without looking stupid. The trim kit doesn't work on the new model. They can't even be connected so they now both slide in an out separately. What was once a grand feature in my kitchen, now looks ridiculous. The handles are even different heights. Thanks Frigidaire for not even making the new model the same dimensions as the old--as if everyone spends over $8000 to replace both the fridge and the freezer when only one of them breaks down.

1 Fridge temperature stopped working

After only a few years we noticed our food was freezing and thus we had a repair guy come, he replaced the temperature control, then it happened again and they replaced the motherboard and then it happened again and they replaced both temperature control and mother board. After that he basically said that the fridge needs to be replaced ……. So disappointing. Such an expensive fridge that can’t be fixed and I’m stuck replacing it as my kitchen cabinets were built around these dimentions. So mad

1 Very dissapointed

We purchased our fridge and freezer November 2019. It arrived in 2020. And the Fridge stopped cooling Oct 21, 2022. We called in a repair man that specialized in Frigidaire and he said it's garbage and we'll have to replace the whole unit or wait 2 months for parts and pay $2000 to fix it. Funny we paid $2500 + Tax for it less than 2 years ago. There is only a 1 year manufactures warranty and were told by the company we purchased them from that they can't do anything. It seems like a Fridge should last more than 2 years. VERY DISAPOINTED with this whole experience. I would not recommend these units to anyone that want a reliable appliance. Don't waste your money.

1 Bad fridge

Bought this fridge two years ago and it's finished. It would cost close to $1500 to fix it and there's no guarantee it will last as the same cheap part would be used to repair it. Bought a frigidaire freezer at the same time and it died too but at least it is less expensive to fix. I will never buy Frigidaire again.
