The motor in this hood is so noisey. Very annoying.. You cant talk or hear while motor is running . If I knew how loud it was I definitely would never have bought it. Very very unhappy with this hood. Wish I could return it but don't have the box. Stainless steel smudges horribly.

I had the unit for 6 months and the fan started screaming. It was covered under warranty but I did not expect the early repair

Bought this a few months ago. Within 2 days the Halogen bulb went. These are not cheap. More than the $ it was annoying. It works fine.. Hubby does not like the hard switch to turn the fan off.. it makes a loud click.

After our cheapo vent fan bit the dust, we wanted to get something much better. This fan has a cool look and I love the simplicity of the push-button controls. The grease trap is simple to remove for cleaning. The fan also offers back-vented, top-vented and recirculating mounting options. The dual halogen lights are much better than the cheesy 40 watt bulb our old unit had. This fan moves a lot of air (rated at 300 cfm) when you need it to and at it's highest setting you can still hold a conversation. The cons are minimal, in my opinion, but they are worth mentioning. The top surface sticks out further than I anticipated, I believe this is so the recirculating vent is exposed, if needed. It is about 2 inches proud of the cabinet face frame. It is also about an inch and a half shorter, so we had to fill in the backsplash, that was a minor inconvenience. I'm pretty sure the dimensions are given, I just didn't compare them. All in all, I am very pleased with the look and functionality of this fan. There are many options in this price range and I'm glad I chose this one.

Looks great! Nice lighting. Would have liked a "no smudge" finish like on the rest of our Frigidaire appliances.

Looks nice, but soon after 1 yr warranty expired, the low speed fan button came unglued and has since fallen into the hole in the hood it came out of
